Pope Francis, the 266th pope of the Roman Catholic Church died on April 21, 2025 due to a stroke. He was the head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of Vatican City from 13 March 2013. Francis was known for his humility, importance on God’s mercy, international visibility, concern for the poor, commitment to inter-religious migrants and refugees.
