Indian history is rich and fabulous. We wish we could go back and enter the Palace Halls and see the things for ourselves. That is not yet possible and we end up depending upon those who have written the stories for us. Some with rich evidence, some conjectures, some outright fancy imaginations. They have divided Indian history into - [[Ancient Indian History|Ancient]] - [[Medieval Indian History|Medieval]] - [[Modern Indian History|Modern]] and - [[Contemporary Indian History|Contemporary]] Indian History One thing we have learned is that learning history should begin with getting thorough with the basic timeline. It is like constructing a framework for a building before we add the walls, floor and interior decoration.
